The Forest
Impassioned by the faint perfume
That filled the morning air
I wandered off the beaten path
In search of what was there
The forest soon surrounded me
My mind was ill-at-ease
But still the perfume beckoned
As it lingered on the breeze
My heart became my master
On that day I must confess
Not caring what the world would think
My troubled mind found rest
As quickly as the forest seemed
To close on me before
It opened up to pastures green
And offered evermore
The sweet perfume of happiness
That God can only give
To those who listen to their heart
And so decide to live
